DURING THE NEXT DAYS I'M GOING TO PUT SEVERAL ACTIVITIES HERE TO HELP YOU TO STUDY FOR THE EXAM. ALSO I'M GOING TO PUT THE MAPS THAT CAN BE A PART OF THE EXAM AND A CHRONOLOGY WITH THE DATES THAT YOU HAVE TO KNOW ABOUT:

EXAMPLE OF EXAM.
HERE YOU HAVE A N EXAMPLE OF THE QUESTIONS WHICH ARE GOING TO BE A PART OF THE EXAM. OF COURSE, THE QUESTIONS WILL BE DIFFERENT, BUT THERE WOULD BE: SEVERAL MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS, SEVERAL SHORTS QUESTIONS, TWO MAPS (ONE ABOUT GREECE AND OTHER ABOUT ROME) AND ACTIVITY IN WHICH YOU WILL HAVE TO FILL THE GAPS AND ALSO DEFINITIONS.

MODEL ANSWERS:

1. CHRONOLOGY.

Greece:
776 B. C. First olympic games.
490 B. C. Battle of Marathon. The athenians defeated the persians in a ground battle.
480 B. C. Battle of Salamis. The athenians defeated the persians in a naval battle.
477 B. C. Delian League is established. A military alliance led by Athens in order to fight against the Persians.
431. B. C. Start of the Peloponessian War.
404 B. C. End of the Peloponessian War.
336 B. C. Alexander the Great became king of Macedonia. Start of the Hellenistic Period.
30 B. C. Occupation of the Ptolemaic Egypt by the Romans. End of the Greek civilization.
Rome:
753 B. C. Foundation of the city of Rome.
509 B. C. The last roman king, Tarquin the Proud, is deposed. Start of the Republican Period.
27 B. C. Octavius is proclaimed Augustus by the Senate. Start of the Roman Empire.
476 A. D. FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE.
476 A. D. Fall of the Roman Empire.

2. MAPS.
The exam is going to include one or maybe two maps. Here you can find the maps that can be a part of the exam.
a). Political map of Ancient Greece.
You have to be able to locate in the map at least: Athens, Attica, Sparta, Laconia, Macedonia and the Aegean Sea. Also, you have to be able to identify the territory of the Ancient Greece: Ellas or Hellada.
b). Empire of Alexander the Great.
Remember, if in a map Egpyt, Asia Minor Mesopotamia, Persia and Greece are part of the same empire, have to be the empire of Alexander the Great. Also, you have to know the location of the most important city founded by Alexander, Alexandria.
c). The hellenistic kingdoms.
If in a map appears Egpyt as a independent kingdom led by the ptolemaic dinasty and independent Macedonia and a kingdom in Syria and Asia Minor has to be about the Hellenistic kingdoms.
ROME.
a) Roman Republic.
If in a map, Rome controls most of the Mediterranean Sea but not Egypt, the map correspond to the Roman Republic period. Furthermore, the north of Hispania, Britannia and Dacia were occupied during the imperial period.
b). Roman Empire.
If in a map, Rome controls all the Mediterrean Sea and all the european territories located at the south of the rivers Rhine and Danube, apart of Egpyt, Britannia (modern day England) and Dacia (modern day Romania) the map correspond to the imperial period of the roman history.
